There is a lot of content out there that is not rectangular but square (I know - squares are rectangles). I wanted to create a product that utilzes all of the natural square content that exists. And what better square content is there than album covers.

This prototype cycles though artists and albums and allows the user to select songs to play. It uses a 6" custom display from Pixel Scientific as well as ZKOO gesture optical sensor to allow the user to control the experience without touching the display or using a manual input device. It runs in the browser and uses APIs from Spotify, LastFM, and iTunes to get the data. Lastly I used a Google Home to power the bluetooth audio.
